We are just back from a mini vacation after spending 4 days at a lovely cottage with friends. We stayed as guests of Pat & Frank at Tory's Landing just north of Orillia on Sparrow Lake. Alan & Lilian from Burlington and Art who drove up from Michigan were also there and we ate like kings and drank like fishes. The weather was spectacular, lovely late summer warmth without humidity. The guys enjoyed a couple of games of golf at the nearby Lake St. George Golf Club and the ladies relaxed and walked and chatted.
On the way home on Saturday the weather cooled and rain moved in as the remnants of tropical storm Ernesto moved north. We stopped off at the Cookstown Outlet Mall on the way home and bought some more clothes for the trip.
Next week we pick up our tickets and begin the countdown.
