I was able to get wireless access at Starbucks next to the hotel and I'm sitting outside on the banks of lake Lucerne at 10:30 at night. The 1st pic is from today in Lucerne looking across at our hotel. The other 2 are from the Rhine cruise. I'm hoping for some great pics from tomorrow's trip up the Alps.

You are dedicated!!! Not only would I not have taken a PC, I'd be going to bed early and certainly not going to Starbucks to see if they had a WiFi I could get on!
Having said that, thanks for lugging the laptop along - we are enjoying your trip vicariously and will watch even more closely when you get into Italy in order to pick up pointers based on your experience for OUR trip to Tuscany/Umbria and Provence!
PS It's 85F/30C here in God's Waiting Room, the river shrimp are running and Lee and I caught about ten pounds of them this morning. Surf and Turf this evening.
Hi Brian & Una,
I'm enjoying your trip along with you. Wish I could have been there for that Rhein cruise. I guess you couldn't wait for Germany to come to you after all.
I'm passing your site on to Dawn. P.S. Don has managed to stay awake the whole week.
Pictures are outstanding! Are you going to let mom guest blog a few posts, or are you driving the whole way? ;)
PPS WHAT ABOUT THE BAG ? We are still in Limbo ...... are you using the backup bag or the Rick Steve's bag? Please give us closure on this suspense-filled item!
I am following your trip on Google Earth....it's really neat to see your path, cruise around the city streets and you can also get up to the hour news stories from each city just by clicking on it.....so cool!!
Love the pics,
I too am in suspense over the luggage....please fill us in!!
three countries already!!! wow!!
Lots of Love Jen
Well I finally figured out how to follow your blog (yes I am an idiot). It sounds like you are having a great time... I wish I had the ability to have my own blog when I was in Greece, what a great way to keep in touch and let others know how you are getting on. I look forward to seeing and reading more... Although it has only been a short while, you are both missed.
Love Peter
Hi Brian & Una:
It sounds like you are having a fabulous time. I'm so glad Una was able to "help" with directions although we all know, Brian, that you are quite capable of finding your way around! Una, I hope the end of the story of your sandals resulted in comfortable walking. Take care you two & continue having good weather & a fabulous time. Janice & Alan
Hi guys, glad the trip is going well and that you are fair whizzing through Europe. Completely outrageous the amount of drink you are getting in before we meet up with you in Tuscany. We will probably need a small drink when we arrive! so leave the European wine lake alone!
Enjoying the pictures..and the text
